It is the door that leads to her seat in the car. When she was little, and could not reach the handle, I would hold her in my arms and let her “pull” the door open. After awhile, she was able to reach the door, but would be so frustrated she would not be able to pull the door open. She would get help and became frustrated stating, “I WANTED TO DO IT MYSELF!!!” As the years went on, she would get so close, and only needing help with a smidge. She would say, “I did it all by myself, with just a little help.” Her smile would be on her face because she was getting closer. Well today, I was locking the house door, and told her to try to open the door to the car thinking to myself, “This will keep her busy for a minute.” Then all of a sudden I look over, THE CAR DOOR IS OPEN! “I did it all by MYSELF!!!” I told her how proud I am of her, and we cheered and hugged. She was so excited, and told all of her teachers. It is something you don’t think of celebrating, but she has been working at this one goal from a very young age, and she finally accomplished it. Exposing what’s inside [is] more important. Facing the real issues and being so grateful to be able to come out on the other side empowered,” Adrienne said on her Facebook post. “I’m an open book. I probably over share, but my intentions are to help others through my experiences and mistakes as others have done the same for me.” Adrienne also said, “I started yesterday in tears, and ended the day feeling loved and supported. Please help me show others love and support. If anyone is feeling like I did please reach out for help. Don’t bottle it in. Speak to someone. My line is always open with a listening ear. After they removed the ventilator it was a week to a week and a half for Bubba to finally “go.” When he did, Adrienne could no longer feel his presence in her. The “twin telepathy” was gone. He also wanted to be buried, but unfortunately the cost of a burial was not possible for her. She always assumed that he would come visit her in her dreams or in other ways, but he hasn't yet. Adrienne escaped a physically abusive relationship and moved back to St. Petersburg to help take care of Bubba, whose health had been getting worse over the last several years. Deanna was feeling great and lost 48 pounds after Rachel. She became pregnant in February of 2014, but they lost their baby at seven and a half weeks along. That was their second miscarriage. Again, in August became pregnant. However again, they lost their baby. That is the magical number of miscarriages when a doctor will start digging deeper for a cause. Genetics testing was done with Deanna, and her diagnosis of MFTHR came back. Deanna’s MFTHR is heterozygous which means only one gene was affected not two, and she was negative for the clotting factor sometimes associated with it. MFTHR is a genetic mutation standing for methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase. Went in for the appointment and the Nurse Practitioner examined me, and thought it was probably a swollen gland, ‘Nothing to worry about, probably because of your menstrual cycle’ but sent me for an ultrasound and my first mammogram. Because I have a very aggressive form of cancer (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma) IDC and my tumor was too large to remove. It was the size of a golf ball and trying to remove it first could lead to it spreading. Come to find out it had already spread to my lymph nodes, which made it stage III. So I did. Afterwards she asked to speak with my husband and me privately in a conference room. All I remember her saying was, ‘I do not want the rug to be pulled out from you tomorrow so I am telling you what I felt. During the biopsy it felt solid like a tumor and I believe it is going to come back as malignant. I believe you have breast cancer.’ My mind went blank. I heard, ‘chemotherapy is not cookie cutter anymore,’ ‘better outcomes,’ blah blah blah. In order to leave the house marriage was the next step. She was now a single mother, and having to work for the first time in her life at Eckerd’s making just over $3.00 an hour. Her mother was there to help some; take for instant during Thanksgiving, Rosa had to work, and he mother made a whole chicken (I mean an American Holiday not an Italian holiday, still new to it all) and added “stuffing”. Her mother would try to run them off by putting water in their shoes or many different crazy things. Rosa did eventually meet a nice guy named Jim. She met him in the drive thru at the bank she worked at, and gave him a lollipop because she thought he was cute. Jim introduced the family to Florida State Football, burping, farting, goofiness, and frozen pizza. Also, many trips to Tallahassee for football games, nights jamming out to music while Jim plays guitar, laying tile in the whole house, building so many things of furniture, road trips to the mountains, the keys, and all over Florida. After many days of freak-out moments, trips to the vets, and antibiotics he is doing better. He had a skin infection, ear infection, and eye infection. They think it is all linked to Cushing’s Disease, (maybe). At the same time of dealing with Tanner, my daughter was sick. Then during bath time, Tanner would do this funny booty shake after baths. It was a normal whole body shake, but the body would stop and just his butt would keep going. I rescued him a week after I put down my two-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Khoin. He had bone cancer that spread through out his entire abdomen. He will use his nose to smell all around your face, and then blow out.
